OFFICE STATIONERY IMAGE BANK

HOW I USE IT

To demonstrate the activity, choose one of the office stationery items and mime to the class exactly how you use it. The class should call out their ideas. When they have guessed the item correctly, select a learner, show them one of the other office stationery pictures (out of sight of the class), and ask them to mime it to the class. Continue the activity with different learners miming how to use other office stationery items.

MUST HAVES

Pair learners, and explain that each pair should choose five items of stationery which they believe are absolutely indispensable in an office.

Pin up all the office stationery pictures around the room, and ask pairs to walk around, look at all the items and make their selection.

When they are ready, put two pairs of learners together and ask them to compare and discuss their answers.

Allow a few minutes for this discussion phase, then bring the class together. Ask each pair in turn to read out their list of items. This will indicate which items, in the opinion of the class, were the five most important.

A follow-up to this would be to ask each pair to then rank these five items in order of importance.
