FARM ANIMALS IMAGE BANK

MIMING ANIMALS

Ask one learner to come to the front of the class with their back to the board. Behind this learner, on the board, pin up a picture of one of the farm animals. Tell the rest of the class to stand up and face this learner.

Explain that the class should mime (without making any sounds) this animal to the learner at the board who should shout out the name of the animal they think is being mimed. Once they have guessed correctly, invite another learner to become the next guesser, pin up another farm animal on the board, and play another round.

GUESS MY ANIMAL

Take one learner outside the classroom and show him/her a picture of one of the farm animals. Tell the learner that they will 'be' this animal in the next activity. Back inside the classroom, ask this learner to sit facing the class.

Explain to the class that they have to find out which animal this learner is by asking only YES/NO questions e.g. Do you eat grass? Can people ride you? Have you got feathers? After five questions, they can begin to guess the animal. When the class have guessed the learner's animal identity correctly, play another round with another learner and a different animal.
