MIMING WORDS

Before your class try this activity, demonstrate it to them first to show them what they will need to do. Explain that you have chosen one of the bathroom pictures, and you are going to mime using it. The class should watch your mime, and then call out what they think the item is. Perform your mime, and let the class call out their ideas. Now the class is clear about what to do, invite a volunteer to (secretly) choose one of the bathroom items, and mime using it to the class. Repeat this procedure for as long as the interest of your learners holds.

RUN AND TOUCH

Pin up a selection of suitable bathroom item pictures all around the room, spread well apart. Tell the class that you will call out an instruction, and they should run and touch the most appropriate picture as quickly as they can. For example:

• Run and touch something you can shave with.
• Run and touch a place you can wash your hands.
• Run and touch something you can see your reflection in.
