I read quite a lot, erm … a lot of the books I read are either … sort of about human … like … just sort of living, and spirituality, sort of stuff like that or, erm … high … high thriller suspense-style books, erm … in between that I’m just reading magazines and stuff like that, magazines, comics, er … the paper generally every day ‘cos you need to know what’s going on. Erm … what else do I read? Internet, off the screen, and then that’s about it really, I reckon.

 

How to improve your listening

1 Listen to George without stopping. Do not read the tapescript. Try to understand as much as you can.

2 Now read the tapescript. Check any new words in your dictionary.

3 Listen to George again, and as you listen, read the tapescript.

4 Listen once again, but this time, without the tapescript.

Is it easier to understand George now? If not, repeat Steps 3 and 4.
